J. Morita 3D Accuitomo 170 X-Ray

3D Accuitomo 170 is Morita’s most advanced unit. Highly refined, it is the 4th generation of the Accuitomo product line. It offers a voxel size of just 80µm. This super-fine voxel combined with the unit’s 14 bit grayscale capability displays an amazing level of clarity never seen before in the world of 3D imaging - all with a very low effective dose.

NEW Reduced X-ray Dosage
3D Accuitomo 170 offers reduced dosage for increased patient protection.

This unit's low dosage is rooted in how the machine acquires information. Through advanced engineering, the intensity of the X-rays has been optimized which decreases the overall level of emissions. Dosage has been reduced 30% to 40% compared to the previous Accuitomo model. Maximizing the efficiency of the machine has also resulted in sharper images of soft tissue with fewer artifacts.

Applications

3D Accuitomo 170 offers nine fields of view (FOV) from 40 x 40 mm to 170 x 120 mm. This expanded FOV size enables examination of temporal bone, paranasal sinuses, mandible, and skull base.

3D Accuitomo 170 utilizes a highly sensitive flat panel detector. It creates a wide dynamic range which produces many grayscale values for visualizing both hard and soft tissue areas with a subtle spread of contrast. This model’s 14 bit capability produces an even higher degree of clarity and enables comprehensive examination for diagnosing apical lesions, TMJ problems, caries, and treatment planning for implants, surgery, restorative procedures, etc.

Zoom Reconstruction

Zoom Reconstruction is another feature unique to the 3D Accuitomo product line. It can generate a high resolution image from the original scan without retaking the image, saving time and protecting the patient from additional and unnecessary radiation exposure.

Validated third party 3D imaging software:

All featured images below were taken on live patients and were provided by North American clinicians using J. Morita 3D x-ray units. Please note image data has been compressed for delivery over the internet, therefore some degradation of image quality may be present. The actual data is of higher resolution, and thus, of higher clarity.

3D Accuitomo 170 offers nine fields of view:
Ø 40 x H 40 mm
Ø 60 x H 60 mm
Ø 80 x H 80 mm
Ø 100 x H 100 mm
Ø 100 x H 50 mm
Ø 140 x H 50 mm
Ø 140 x H 100 mm
Ø 170 x H 50 mm
Ø 170 x H 120 mm

From a wide image area to a narrow image area, high resolution is maintained with no distortion even as the image is expanded.

ø 40 × H 40 mm image is suitable for 90% of all cases while keeping patient dose to a minimum.

Ø 170 X H 120 mm image enables a comprehensive examination and diagnosis of the soft and hard tissues over the entire head and neck region.

Zoom reconstruction
Provides high resolution, 80 μm voxel size, 3D images of any region of interest. This allows for a comprehensive examination and diagnosis. There is no need to retake images since all data has already been acquired.

Resorption of alveolar bone was seen in the periapical region of the maxillary first and second molars. By specifying the area of interest and performing zoom reconstruction (80 μm voxel), a more detailed examination was completed.
