J. Morita 3D Accuitomo 80 X-Ray

The 3D Accuitomo 80 now features a dose reduction of 30% to 40%!

3D Accuitomo 80 Video

The 3D Accuitomo 80 offers a minute voxel size of just 80 µm (micrometer). This super-fine voxel combined with the unit's 13 bit grayscale capability displays an exceptional level of clarity with a very low effective dose.

NEW Dose Reduction Feature
3D Accuitomo 80, and all of Morita’s 3D units, now come automatically equipped with a new Dose Reduction Feature for increased patient protection.

The Dose Reduction Feature is rooted in how the machines acquire information. Through advanced engineering, the intensity of the X-rays has been optimized which decreases the overall level of emissions. Dosage has been reduced 30% to 40% on all three-dimensional fields of view. Maximizing the efficiency of the machines has also resulted in sharper images of soft tissue with fewer artifacts. Dose Reduction now comes standard on every 3D unit Morita sells with no retail price increase. Existing models can also be upgraded with this new feature with minimal, if any, part replacement.

Applications
3D Accuitomo 80 utilizes a highly sensitive flat panel detector. It creates a wide dynamic range which produces many grayscale values for visualizing both hard and soft tissue areas with a subtle spread of contrast. These images display a high degree of clarity and enable comprehensive examination for diagnosing apical lesions, TMJ problems, caries, and treatment planning for implants, surgery, restorative procedures, etc.

Zoom Reconstruction
Zoom Reconstruction is another feature unique to 3D Accuitomo 80. It can generate a high resolution image from the original scan without retaking the image, saving time and protecting the patient from additional and unnecessary radiation exposure.

Patient Education

The following tri-fold brochure has been created to assist Morita 3D owners in explaining how cone beam x-rays work and when they are used. Patient safety is also covered with x-ray dosage comparisons in easy to understand terms.

Owners of Morita 3D units will receive a high resolution file, customized with his/her office information, to assist in patient education.

All featured images below were taken on live patients and were provided by North American clinicians using J. Morita 3D x-ray units. Please note image data has been compressed for delivery over the internet, therefore some degradation of image quality may be present. The actual data is of higher resolution, and thus, of higher clarity.

    • 3D Accuitomo 80 offers three fields of view: ø 40 × H 40 mm, ø 60 × H 60 mm, ø 80 × H 80 mm.
From a wide image area to a narrow image area, high resolution is maintained with no distortion even as the image is expanded.

      ø 40 × H 40 mm image is suitable for 90% of
all cases while keeping patient dose to a minimum.

      ø 60 × H 60 mm image provides a wide image area and
simultaneous examination of maxillary and mandibular teeth.

      ø 80 × H 80 mm image allows for a full mouth examination.

      Zoom reconstruction
Provides high resolution, 80 μm voxel size, 3D images of any region of interest. This allows for a comprehensive examination and diagnosis. There is no need to retake images since all data has already been acquired.

Resorption of alveolar bone was seen in the periapical region of the maxillary first and second molars. By specifying the area of interest and performing zoom reconstruction (80 μm voxel), a more detailed examination was completed.
